SAND LAND Project, A Collaboration Between Akira Toriyama and Bandai Namco, Has Been Revealed

More information coming later this month.

Bandai Namco and Akira Toriyama have revealed the SAND LAND Project. This project promises to “introduce audiences to the world, characters, and vehicles of SAND LAND”. SAND LAND is a manga created by Dragon Ball author Akira Toriyama. The series ran for four months in 2000, and it was compiled into a single volume later that year. It was released in Weekly Shonen Jump. Bandai Namco offered a short story summary of SAND LAND:

In a desert world where both demons and humans suffer from an extreme water shortage, Beelzebub, the prince of demons, and Rao, a small-town sheriff, form a tag-team and set off on an adventure in search of the Phantom Lake somewhere in the desert.

The project is scheduled to be fully unveiled just before Jump Festa begins. It is anyone’s guess what this game will end up being, as it could easily end up being a mobile title or even a console title. We will have to wait just over a week to find out.

More information will be revealed on December 17, 2022. Check out the teaser trailer for the SAND LAND Project below.
