It’s official, SEGA confirms Sonic Frontiers news is coming throughout all of June 2022! The wait is nearly over for more details about the upcoming Sonic game. Additionally, SEGA shared a 40-second preview trailer featuring gameplay of Sonic Frontiers. IGN plans to reveal more news and details soon on behalf of SEGA.

Check out the new preview trailer:

SEGA Sammy CEO Haruki Satomi recently addressed Sonic Frontiers as the company targets high review scores this holiday. SEGA is currently improving and polishing the game ahead of its holiday release. This is what Satomi had to say:

“We have set internal targets, as the correlation between the scores of external evaluation organizations and sales is high in Europe and North America,” they said.

“If the game gets a high score, it can become a must-buy game, and possibly generate synergy with sales, so we are currently working hard to improve the quality of the game toward its sales for the holiday season.”

Previously, SEGA of America social media manager Katie Chrzanowski reconfirmed the holiday 2022 release window and stated more news for Sonic Frontiers was coming soon. SEGA’s announcement today solidifies her statement from a few weeks ago. Here’s what she had to say:

“See a lot of people asking about [Sonic] Frontiers, we don’t have news on Frontiers today but don’t worry soon. It’s still set to come out this holiday, so we will have news for you this year, don’t worry.”

Sonic Frontiers releases this holiday for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC via Steam.
