Rumor: Goldeneye 007 is coming to Switch and Xbox platforms

Recently, an Xbox One achievements list for Goldeneye 007 surfaced and sent fans of the original Nintendo 64 game into hype mode. Two developers at Rare have unlocked all achievements in the game, James Thomas (gamertag: BigSheep) and Christina McGrath (gamertag: Xtinamcgrath). The original Xbox 360 remaster of Goldeneye 007 was shelved due to licensing issues but it looks like the game is in fact finally coming to Xbox One soon (Thanks, VGC).

However, new tidbits of information regarding this rumor have emerged involving a Switch version. According to gaming YouTuber RGT85, friend and reputable GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb claims Goldeneye 007 is also coming to Switch. Grubb didn’t share details about whether it will be included in Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack or a separate release. Considering Goldeneye 007 is one of the N64’s most iconic games, Nintendo would definitely have major interest in the title for Switch. This rumor should still be taken with a grain of salt until an official announcement.
