On July 7th, Koei Tecmo filed a trademark for the Zero series in Japan. The trademark was processed and later published today. This series is known as Fatal Frame in the west or Project Zero. It seems like a standard trademark renewal for the company in Japan. Koei Tecmo might have more plans for the horror franchise as the upcoming Fatal Frame: Maiden in Black Water remaster releases on October 28th. Time will tell what the company does with Fatal Frame afterwards.
