    Tetsuya Nomura says Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory’s release was pushed back internally due to coronavirus; features story elements “not as big as a typical KH game but still has great things”

    In a recent interview with Gameinformer, director Tetsuya Nomura and his team talked about Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory’s development! The game was first envisioned as Theatrhythm Kingdom Hearts as the team previously worked on Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. However, lots of obstacles had to be overcome and Nomura wanted to make a 3D version of Theatrhythm. In addition, Nomura states that Melody of Memory was supposed to release earlier in 2020 but was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. In total, Melody of Memory was in development for around 2 and a half years. Lastly, Melody of Memory features story elements that aren’t as big as a typical KH game, but still has great things.
