In an interview with Nintendo Enthusiast, Producer Ichiro Kazama, Co-Director Masanobu Suzui and Director Tetsuya Nomura of Square Enix elaborated on Kingdom Hearts plans for Switch. Nomura says Square Enix considered ports of Kingdom Hearts games on Switch but it proved to be “technologically difficult”. However, Nomura states that “it’s possible another game of his could come” to Switch. There’s speculation that he could be referring to a sequel for The World Ends With You: Final Remix. Final Remix’s endgame content eludes to a possible sequel along with hints from Nomura himself. Keep in mind that this speculation is not confirmation of a sequel though. In the meantime, the upcoming TWEWY anime is very promising! Another interview with Tetsuya Nomura and Gameinformer is available here.

Lastly, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory releases on November 13th for Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news!
