VentureBeat has reported that Nintendo is telling their partners to not expect an annual Nintendo Direct in June this year. This is due to coronavirus disruptions and Japan’s work-from-home orders. In the report, VentureBeat states that Nintendo was already planning the June Nintendo Direct but had to shift their schedule. Nintendo may possibly not hold a direct until the end of summer. Lastly, Nintendo eventually plans to share the rest of their 2020 lineup at a later date.
Update: Eurogamer has corroborated with VentureBeat’s report, stating that Nintendo needs more time to develop first party titles. 3rd parties may reveal their new Switch games when they want.
