Masahiro Sakurai has started working remotely to oversee Super Smash Bros Ultimate development during the coronavirus outbreak

The coronavirus outbreak has affecting many game development sites around the world. However, Nintendo is working around it with sending employees home to keep them safe and working from remote locations. This includes Super Smash Bros series director Masahiro Sakurai. Sakurai confirmed today that he’s started working remotely to supervise development of Super Smash Bros Ultimate. He states that its a difficult task due to the “high security” nature of the project. Lastly, Fighter Pass 2 development is underway and the first of the DLC characters (ARMS representative) releases in June.
