Level-5 and Nintendo have finally announced a western release for Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold! Snack World is a dungeon based RPG where players seek rare treasure and battle brutal bosses. Here’s an overview of the game from Nintendo’s website:

Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story releases on February 20th 2020 in Japan

Spike Chunsoft has announced the release date for Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story! The game releases on February 20th, 2020 for PS4, Switch and PC in Japan. The game has been rated in Australia so a western release should be in the works. Here are the early purchase and preorder bonuses in Japan, courtesy of Gematsu:

Metro Redux coming to Switch, rated by PEGI

It seems that Metro Redux rumors for Switch have been slightly reinforced by a recent listing for the game. According to Doctre81, Metro Redux for Switch was listed by the same retailer who leaked The Witcher 3 for Switch via a similar listing. In addition, Wccftech covered this rumor when it surfaced in October, citing a possible December release according to the listing. Its very important to clarify that this is a rumor so take it with a grain of salt. However, be on the lookout for any Metro related announcements in the near future.

Pokemon Sword and Shield sells 1.36 million units within first three days in Japan

Weekly Famitsu sales numbers are here and Pokemon shows up big time in Japan. Pokemon Sword and Shield reaches over 1.36 million units sold in the first 3 days of release according to Famitsu. These sales numbers included physical copies, digital download cards and Double Pack purchases since digital download sales aren’t tracked.

The strong Pokemon sales also boosted up Switch/Switch Lite sales, selling a combined total of 180,000+ units during release week in Japan. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news!

Cygames teases their next mobile game with a new website, releases on November 27th in Japan

Cygames is teasing their next mobile game with a new website and Twitter account! The teaser website displays a countdown which ends on November 22nd, seemingly revealing more information once the countdown reaches zero. Lastly, the game is planned to release on November 27th for smartphones according to their new Twitter account.

Collar x Malice for Switch releases on March 12th 2020 in Japan

Idea Factory has announced their visual novel, Collar x Malice, will release for Switch on March 12th next year in Japan! The original PS Vita release was back in August 2016 with a western release the following year. The game will cost similarly to those prior releases at 7,700 yen. Idea Factory has been on a roll lately localizing games so Collar x Malice should be available on Switch in the west as well. Here’s an overview of the game:

Pokemon Sword and Shield spirits arrive in Super Smash Bros Ultimate on November 22nd

Nintendo has announced that new spirits from Pokemon Sword and Shield are coming to Super Smash Bros Ultimate in a new Spirit Board event! The Spirit Board event adds the Sword/Shield Legendaries as well as the three starter Pokemon: Sobble, Scorbunny and Grookey.

Dragon Quest X is coming to browsers in Japan next year

Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest X will be available to play on browsers in 2020 in Japan. A beta test will be available for current Dragon Quest X players from December 2nd to the 20th.
