An Action RPG Featuring a Completely New Story

Persona 5, which has sold more than 2 .7 million copies worldwide, makes its long-awaited action RPG debut on PlayStation 4 and Switch!

This is a completely new story set after the events of Persona 5.

The game is a collaborative effort between the Persona Team and Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force.

The Phantom Thieves’ Journey Throughout Japan Begins

Half-a-year after the ending of Persona 5, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts get together for summer vacation, but get wrapped up in a new incident. Mystery cases are occurring all over Japan. Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers will release on February 20th, 2020 in Japan. The release date for the West is TBA.

Patapon 2 Remastered releases on January 30th for PS4

PlayStation has announced that Patapon 2 Remastered releases for PS4 on January 30th! In just a few days, players may revisit a classic from the PSP. The game supports up to 4K resolution on PS4 Pro and costs $15. More information about Patapon 2 Remastered may be found here.

Death end re;Quest 2 – Battle Gameplay Footage

Compile Heart has released new gameplay footage of Death end re;Quest 2! The footage runs for 17 minutes and shows off battle gameplay and dungeons.

Type-Moon Studio BB’s new games will be revealed this summer, planned for PS4, Switch and PC

Type-Moon Studio BB is gearing up to reveal some new games during summer as detailed in a recent 4Gamer interview! Type-Moon Studio BB head Kazuya Niinou shared information about 3 possible games coming from the studio back in December, using existing Type-Moon IPs and new ones. Currently, the company is not ready to announce these games which is why summer is planned to be the right time for them. In addition, Niinou states that the new games are planned to release for PS4, Switch and PC. Xbox One and smartphones are being considered but nothing is set in stone for those platforms.

Mages has announced Steins;Gate 0 Elite for PS4, Switch, iOS and Android! This version of Steins;Gate 0 is a fully animated adventure of the visual novel. More information will arrive at a later date.

*Update* Gematsu misread the announcement which actually states that Steins;Gate 0 Elite was announced for unknown platforms. PS4, Switch and PC are still expected as potential platforms for release

Tekken 7 character balance update arrives on January 28th, includes my replay and tips feature

At EVO Japan, Bandai Namco has announced a free update is coming to Tekken 7 on January 28th! The update includes the My Replay and Tips feature. Along with this feature, a character balance patch will be included in the update. Bandai Namco also states that information about Season 3 DLC character Fahkumram will arrive at a later date. The Tekken 7 team is hard at work on Season 3 DLC.

Rumor: Street Fighter V Champion Edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch!

Update: EB Games Canada has made a statement that the tweet was a mistake, and Street Fighter V Champion Edition will NOT be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

EB Games Canada has tweeted stating that Street Fighter V Champion Edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch! If true this is MASSIVE news, as Street Fighter V will no longer be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 console.
