Team Arcana is seemingly becoming an independent studio as Examu is ceasing operations effectively in February 2020. Ongoing developments at Examu are shifting over to Team Arcana. According to Examu, business has gradually diminished and the environment around the company has shifted. Team Arcana will be carrying out all of Examu’s work from here on out.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses – Cindered Shadows includes a Dark Pegasus class

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have showcased another class coming to the Cindered Shadows expansion for Fire Emblem: Three Houses! The class revealed today is Dark Pegasus, a female-only Pegasus class that specializes in magic. Dark Pegasus’ class skill is Magic Conversion. Magic Conversion boosts all stats by +3 after being attacked by magic. The boosted stats take effect in the next Player Phase. As always, be careful as flying classes are weak to archers.

SEGA and PlayStation have announced that Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash! releases for PS VR on February 25th for $39.99. The game releases on February 26th in Europe, Asia and Japan. Members of the original development team have returned to usher Space Channel 5 into a new decade. Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash! is set in “Space Channel 5,” the premiere space TV station of the 25th Century. For the first time, the player will physically join senior reporter Ulala as a rookie, by dancing, posing, and grooving while holding PlayStation Move motion controllers. Returning cast members join brand new characters in new stages and music for a groovin’ good time.

About Space Channel 5

The legendary music game Space Channel 5 was released for Dreamcast by Sega 20 years ago. Intended “for everyone who loves music, dance, and game”, the game introduced Ulala, a reporter for a future space TV station Channel 5. She battled mysterious aliens called Morolians with dance, rescued captured humans, and saved space. The game celebrated its 20th anniversary on December 16, 2019. After all this time, Space Channel 5 is still beloved and celebrated by many fans around the world.

Kefla announced for Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3, releases on February 28th

Bandai Namco has announced that Kefla from Dragon Ball Super will be joining Ultra Instinct Goku in Season 3 of Dragon Ball FighterZ! She will be sold separately and be part of FighterZ Pass 3. 2 days of early access is given for each character as part of owning FighterZ Pass 3. Check out the new trailer below:

Team Ninja wants to create a new IP for the PS5

Team Ninja is happy about the success of Nioh on PS4. With Nioh 2 releasing next month, Team Ninja already has their sights on the upcoming PS5. The team wants to create a new IP for the PS5 similar to how they handled Nioh on PS4. Here’s the official excerpt from studio head Yosuke Hayashi:

“I believe that a new console will bring new opportunities and we would like to create a new game, a new intellectual property for PlayStation 5,” Hayashi said. “We created the Nioh series for PS4 and we would like to do the same for PS5.”

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have announced that Nioh has sold 3 million copies sold worldwide! A fitting milestone for the 3rd anniversary of the game with Nioh 2 arriving soon.

Z Assist Select feature is coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ

New features are coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ and one of them is Z Assist Select, a highly requested feature! Once the game is updated with this feature, players will be able to select character assist attacks. Each character in Dragon Ball FighterZ will have 3 assist attacks to choose from in the character select screen. This system replicates that of the Marvel vs Capcom series where assist attacks are selected before battle!
