Initially announced during E3, publisher Capcom just announced today on the official RE twitter account that both the 5th and 6th installments of the legendary survival horror franchise now have confirmed dates. Their campaign to apparently bring every single Resident Evil title to the Nintendo Switch through various means continues as they confirmed Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 are both set to release on October 29th.
Both RE5 and RE6 were welcomed with very mixed receptions, especially for the latter but they can be very fun experiences nonetheless, especially on the go. We assume both will also be fully playable in coop like in other versions which are always a better way to play these two games, in our opinion.
In addition, the action trilogy including Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 are all confirmed for a physical triple pack edition and it is important to note that only Resident Evil 4 is actually included on the cartridge. The other two will only be downloadable through a code included in the box.
Are you personally picking up Resident Evil 5 or 6 separately when they release or did you stop at Resident Evil 4’s previous 20$ price tag? Are you going for the triple pack ?Let us know!
Pixel Reef, the new studio of renowned French game designer Eric Chahi (Another World, From Dust), has released today a new video for their new playful exploration VR title Paper Beast.
Paper Beast lets intrepid player-explorers discover a blossoming virtual world where the environments and quirky animals have independently evolved from lost code and forgotten data. Following an unspoken narrative, players will interact with fascinating wildlife that adapts its behavior to the player’s actions.
“Imagine you are dropped in virgin land, you walk and you don’t know where to go. Interactions lead you forward, and in the end, you have a natural view of everything,” said Eric Chahi, founder at Pixel Reef.
Paper Beast is a poetic fusion of VR technology and immersive gameplay experiences. A deep simulation system has been developed to bring the game universe to life.
Kumamoto is a city on the Japanese island of Kyushu that was unfortunately hit by two earthquakes back in 2016, the disaster killed at least 50 people and injured nearly 3,000 others in total. Needless to say, the city was completely ravaged after the incident. While this wasn’t necessarily a joyful way of starting the news, the follow up is much more wholesome.
One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda is teaming up with The Pokémon Company, bringing a special event that will take place from July 22nd through July 29th in Pokémon GO, all for the sake of the Kumamoto Reconstruction, we say it’s a win-win! The Straw Hat Pirates are getting immortalized as actual statues in the Kumamoto prefecture and in Pokémon GO, well, they are Pokéstops! The event will also feature sequential images drawn by Oda himself forming a continuous manga. And yes, you’ve been waiting for it, YOU can also pick up Luffy’s straw hat as an avatar costume item. The icing on the cake, this event is also meant to celebrate Pokémon GO‘s third birthday in Japan.
Note that we still have no info on the impact of such an event in the west, while we obviously can’t join these Pokéstops from here, it would be nice to still have those themed costumes that could very well be rare collector items in the future.
Pokémon and One Piece are two of the biggest franchises ever created and this event while being a “cool news” over there in the west is absolutely gigantic in Japan. This also could open the gate for future partnerships with Pokémon GO, what franchise would you like joining the hunt to catch them all next?
The highly anticipated Gears 5 releases September 10th for Xbox one and PC and since the official reveal at E3, we have been getting updated information about the next huge entry from The Coalition.
According to the post on the official Gears 5 website, Bootcamp will be a new way to practice your skills and learn new mechanics before joining the fight in Gears 5. You’ll play as Del as he helps Damon Baird gather combat data. This all takes place in specially-designed Training Grounds outside the House of Sovereigns.
Bootcamp seems like a great way to get comfortable with your skills and loadouts as there is a bit of a learning curve when fighting other players I’m multiplayer. For newcomers, this is also a great way to get you ready for what’s to come.
Gears 5 shines with Unreal Engine 4. The game looks stunning and should run at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second (FPS) on Xbox One X. Gears of War 4 ran at 4K 30 FPS during the campaign and 4K 60 FPS during multiplayer. This time around, both modes are the same frame rate.
Check out the video preview below to learn more about Bootcamp.

We’re not monkeying around, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD lands on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 29, 2019, with a Steam release planned for Winter 2019!https://t.co/9B9ROhjB9Dpic.twitter.com/ldNkFjPPxa
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD has been revealed this morning. The game will release on October 29th, 2019 on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PS4. The PC version will come in Winter 2019. Earlier last week, we reported on a Super Monkey Ball posting on the Taiwan Rating Board. This looks to be it, and you can check out that article here. The game looks to be a remake or remaster of sorts. Below you can check out some in-game screenshots, as well as the release announcement from Famitsu.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz originally released for the Wii in 2006. The game received mixed reviews, as most reviewers did not like the Wii’s controls. We are expected to get more details on Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD on Thursday, July 18th in a Japanese magazine.

Ahead of any kind of announcement, base.com has listed WWE 2K20 for Nintendo Switch. According to them, the release of the game will be on October 9th, 2019. Besides a price of £59.99, there were no other details about this product on their website.
The WWE series has had a small but rocky history on the Nintendo Switch in particular. Back in the Nintendo Switch’s launch year, 2K announced that WWE 2K18 would be coming to Nintendo Switch in late 2017, after the release of the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions. Blind Squirrel handled the port of the Nintendo Switch version. The game released, and it could barley maintain 30fps during a 1 on 1 fight. Most of the game wasn’t unplayable due to a rushed port job. The game preformed poorly in sales. The following year, there wasn’t no indication or sign of WWE 2K19 hitting Nintendo Switch. That game skipped the platform all together. If this rumor is accurate, hopefully a Switch verison has been planned from the start of development.
Borderlands 3 is still a couple months away, but it appears we’ll be getting some kind of announcement tomorrow of some sort regarding a tweet posted three days ago from the official Twitter account about a ‘Celebration of Togetherness’ event around 7:00am on the official Borderlands website.
Many have speculated what this could be thinking it could be an upcoming announcement about cross-play support between select or all platforms. While the rumors and speculation were easy to believe, Randy Pitchford from Gearbox has come out and commented on said speculation in a couple of tweets.
To be clear, there will not be any cross-play functionality in Borderlands 3 at launch as we work closely with our partners to create a positive cross-play experience as soon as practicable. We are committed to cross-play on as many platforms as possible.
It’s great to know that games are looking into and want to move forward with the idea that we can play online with friends no matter the platform you choose to play on.
Borderlands 3 releases on September 13th of this year and if you haven’t yet, you should download and play the Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary DLC for Borderlands 2 where you play events that will lead you into the new chapter of Borderlands 3 and as a bonus…more amazing loot!
