It comes as no surprise that people have been constantly asking about the release status of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC. It first had an extremely small test flight for Halo Reach at the end of June and is scheduled to another one at the end of July. However, it seems as though Microsoft might be prepping for the rollout sooner than expected.
According to SteamDB, it currently lists about 228 Steam achievements. All of these were added over the last week. Of course when talking about Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft already confirmed that they will be releasing it one title at a time for $9.99 starting with Halo: Reach. Most of the achievements listed do seem to be related to Reach so it makes sense. The latest I can see it being announced is during the Inside Xbox stream at Gamescom on August 19. Keep in mind that this is only a rumor at the moment but things do seem to be developing over at Microsoft and 343.
Bethesda has announced that they will be patching out the BethesdaNet login requirement for DOOM 1-3 on all consoles very soon.
The log-in requirement was due to the implementation of the Slayers Club. So if you were on the fence about getting these ports because of this mandatory online requirement, you should be good now. It’s currently unknown however whether or not they will fix the music.
Twitter User Andrew Hankinson is working on something truly remarkable as he looks to get his own fanmade Kingdom Hearts version of Monopoly approved and recognized as an official monopoly game. Based entirely on the original Monopoly, every aspect of the game is changed to be something related to Kingdom Hearts.
— Andrew Hankinson (@HankinsonAndrew) July 6, 2019
The properties are all Disney and Kingdom Hearts worlds, the monopoly money is Munny, the currency from the game and the game pieces are beautiful renditions of the chess pieces used in the videogames. Not only that but the Chance and Community Chest cards are now Paopu Fruit and Sea Salt Ice Cream, staples in the franchise and easily recognizable by fans. These new cards add a unique twist, however, not only being Kingdom Hearts themed entirely, but Andrew also added “Mini-Games” as seen in the franchise. Party-based challenges such as “Make the other players laugh like Boo from Monsters Inc. or, take a selfie with the other players similar to how Sora takes them in Kingdom Hearts 3.” There are so many unique facets tied directly to the beloved Kingdom Hearts franchise that really shows the love and care put into this project. Houses and Hotels being gummi ships, jail turning into the dark world and so so much more, it really is a sight to behold.
You can follow Andrew’s journey as he pushes to make this dream a reality over at Twitter at @HankinsonAndrew, or on Instagram at @hankinsonandrew.
If you’re looking for something to sink your teeth into this weekend, we have just the thing for you. There are four solid Steam titles you can try until Sunday, offering several unique experiences depending on what you’re into. Those four games are the original Disgaea, Squad, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, and Worms WMD.
Disgaea is a tactical RPG developed by Nippon Ichi Software and published by NIS America, the first of many in the Disgaea series. The game is a PC port of the 16-year-old game, offering a classic experience for those after that kind of thing. It got around a 60% average at launch, but now has a very high recommendation rating on Steam. Additionally, the game is having a 70% sale until July 30th. For fans of tactical RPGs and classic games, I’d check this one out.
Up next we have Squad, developed and published by Offworld Industries. It’s a tactical first-person shooter, serving a focus on teamwork and communication in order to achieve victory. The game is also looking to “bridge the large gap between arcade shooter and military simulation”. Featuring large scale maps and tactical combat, Battlefield fans may want to give this a go. The game has a roughly 85% recommendation rating on Steam, and is having a 50% off sale till July 29th.
Following that, there’s Naruto to Boruto. This title’s a 4v4 anime fighting game (surprise surprise) developed by Soleil Ltd. and published by Bandai Namco. In it, you play as your own unique character within the Naruto universe and take on another team to achieve victory as a ninja. You can do many different moves and combos in order to achieve success and determine who the best ninjas are. The game received a 60% recommendation rating at launch but has since bumped up to a 75% thanks to some improvements made. You can also get the game at $19.99 till August 7th if you’re a fan. Those into fighting games and/or the Naruto anime should keep an eye on this one.
Finally on the list and definitely a fan favorite is Worms WMD. This game was published and developed by Team17 Ltd, best known for both the Worms and Overcooked series. In it, you take control of a worm in a 2D turn-based environment. You must use all the devastating (and silly) weapons you have at your disposal in order to destroy the other worms. If you’re like me and play games casually, this is the game you’ll want to try this weekend. The game has around a 90% recommendation rating and is on sale at 66% off till August 1st.
And that’s all that’s available this weekend. Click on any of the game names if you’re looking to try them out. As well, make sure to take advantage of the sales fast if you’re looking to buy any of these titles. They won’t last long.

From the blacktop to the hardwood and throughout the Neighborhood, NBA 2K20 and its next level features are the closest thing to actually playing in the league.

Celeste is a platformer that released back on January 25th of 2018. The game is developed and published by Matt Makes Games. Celeste received incredible reception, with the game receiving a 92 on Metacritic. After the game launched, an official Instagram account was made so fans could keep up with the game. The Celeste Instagram account posted on August 31st, 2018, and then suddenly went silent until today. A brand new post is on the account, and you can take a look at it below.
Take a look at the description. “Visiting to say farewell”. This seems to be hinting at the game’s announced free update, the Farewell DLC. The Farewell DLC was supposed to release a long time ago, however it become massive and Matt Makes Games postponed it. The Celeste physical copy that went up on LimitedRunGames.com back in January is yet to ship, as they are waiting for the completion of the Farewell DLC before they print the game. Hopefully we will find out more about the DLC soon. We’ll be sure to update you if any more posts are uploaded.
X.D. Network and MICAteam of Sunborn Games Technology have announced Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery. This is a brand new tactical RPG from the Girls’ Frontline developers. Its slated to release for Switch, PC and smartphones. It will support a variety of languages including English, Japanese and Chinese. In addition, it will release as a “premium single-player game.” Here’s an overview of the game via Steam and a trailer:
Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery is a tactical turn-based role-playing game developed by MICAteam. Set in the near future, Earth has plunged into the “Second Cold War”, a world war in which two factions—the emerging Antarctic Union and the old guard UURSG—battle for dominance over cutting-edge technology that can turn the tide of war.
Mendo, an operative from MID, the Antarctic Union’s intelligence agency, was the sole survivor of an ambush on his tactical team during a mission, which left him with amnesia. After being rescued by a mysterious girl with silver hair who called herself “Jefuty,” they find themselves being pursued by both factions, and the two of them must work together to overcome obstacles and escape peril.
As he gets closer to the truth, the veil of mystery over Jefuty’s true identity is lifted bit by bit, and it becomes clear that Mund has gotten himself embroiled in a massive conspiracy…

DC: I kinda fell into it. Almost by accident. I trained as an actor, studied Theater Arts and Acting in Undergrad at Virginia Tech and then worked for three years professionally and then went to Penn State to do an MFA (Master Of Fine Arts) in Acting. So I trained as an actor for stage primarily, for television and film and I didn’t receive any Voice Over Training at all. I had done a little bit of video narration and things like that but not professionally. When I first moved to the UK in 1999, I met an agent who wasn’t quite sure what to do with me because I was American, living in England… She wasn’t quite sure if she could support me. I met her when I was doing a play up in York and she came to see the play and she liked my work so she stayed in touch and one day a couple of weeks later, she called me and said “Doug, I got this video game casting in Harrogate and they would like to see you for the main role.” I was like, okay, video game, interesting, never done anything like that before. So I went along to the audition and that was my first time doing any voice acting of any kind on the mic and certainly for a game. The game was called Independence War 2: Edge Of Chaos and I ended up getting the lead role and it just kind of snowballed from there. The company called Outsource Media just kept bringing me back for more games and eventually this game called “The Witcher” popped up. I went in for an audition and got that role and did three games with him.
Question: Do you like Henry Cavill’s Interpretation of Geralt? And Are you excited for the Series?
DC: Henry is interesting. I tried to reserve judgment when his casting was announced for all kinds of reasons but mostly to be fair to him. He is an actor and what we do as actors is to transform to a certain extent. I wanted to allow him to do that before I had any real personal opinions about it. The trailer that came out recently, I think it looks fantastic and certainly the way that Geralt is described in the books, that’s what they’ve gone for in the Netflix Series. So I’m excited to see an actual episode and see what they do with Geralt. There’s not a whole lot you can see from the trailers but for right now… I’m excited to see where they go with it.
Question: Have you played any of the games you have been in?
DC: Yes. I played The Witcher 3 all the way through. I haven’t gotten to the DLC but soon I will. I got the ending I wanted and I’m very happy that I was a part of that game and that series.
Final Question: Are you excited for Cyberpunk 2077 as both a fan and someone who has worked with CD Projekt Red?
DC: It looks awesome. I think it’s gonna be awesome and my experience with CD Projekt Red is that you can never put out a game that has no flaws whatsoever, but I think CD Projekt does their utmost to put out a game that is ready to be played. I’m excited for it and I think people are gonna go nuts for it. CD Projekt Red tends not to be a company that sits on its laurels. They want to take work that they’ve done in the past and take a big step up from it. That’s what they did with all three Witcher games and the DLC for Witcher 3. They then created the Gwent Game which didn’t exist until they made it and now with Cyberpunk they are making a world as big as or compared to both Witcher 2 and 3’s maps plus the DLC for 3 in its initial release. I’m excited about it.
These were just a few questions from my interview with Doug Cockle. More questions will be available on the MGB podcast when it comes out on the 27th at 6 AM EST.
