The fated end of service day has come for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, and Square Enix has released a final trailer for the game as a thank you for fans’ continued support. The final trailer ends with a new illustration of Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis featuring an ensemble of the game’s many characters.
This past July, Square Enix had determined that it would be difficult to continue provided the best possible experience for gamers in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. As a result, the game’s end of service date was decided for October 6 for all versions of the game. Before the game’s shutdown, Square Enix released the story of Before Crisis and the finale of Final Fantasy VII.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis originally launched on September 7, 2023, for mobile platforms, with a PC release arriving in December 2023. The game would go on to accrue millions of players and even served as part of the inspiration behind Final Weapon’s Under the Plate series.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the latest entry in the franchise, launches on April 8, 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Players with save data from Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will get bonuses in the game, including Summoning Materia: Chocobo & Moogle and Summoning Materia: Phoenix.
