Netmarble has released a new update for THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, which features the return Iori Yagami with a KOF XIII style. The update is available as part of the ongoing 1-year anniversary celebration.
Yagami is a master of the Yagami-style ancient martial arts, who also carries [Rush] Synergy. As part of the ongoing 1st anniversary celebrations, his summon rate has been doubled from normal. Players will be able to obtain him through the Iori Yagami Arrival Event that runs from September 3 to September 16. The [Rush] Synergy Pick-Up event is also live, which boosts summon rates for fighters with [Rush] Synergy over the same period.
A Keepsake for Terry Bogard is also available, which features [Deathblow] Synergy. This item’s release is accompanied by another chance to recruit him through the Terry Bogard Rerun Arrival Event. This event will also last from September 3 to September 16. Further, as part of the ongoing celebration, a 1st Anniversary Survey is currently open through September 16 that gathers player feedback on the Fighters Festa event. The survey can be accessed directly in game, and those who complete it will receive 1 million Rubies, which is among the largest single rewards offered to date.
Additional events that the new update features include the aforementioned Fighters Festa, which gives players a chance to obtain the Legendary Pets Nitro and Hippaka through September 16. A new main event, Happy Picnic, will start on September 10 and last until September 23. It introduces the Legendary Pets Sin and Bonnet. The Lucky Elpy Event will also return from September 7 to September 11. It will offer the Legendary Supporter Lawrence Blood. In addition, the new mini-game Shaky Shaky Cake is playable from September 3 to September 11.
