Embracer Group has revealed that it is planning to release both Darksiders 4 and the next Kingdom Come game between April 2027 and March 2028. Currently, details about the next Kingdom Come game are scarce.
Recently, Warhorse Studios announced that it is developing a new “adventure” in the Kingdom Come series and an RPG based on the world of Middle-Earth. While the developer stated that it will reveal more about both “when the time is right,” it seems likely that more news will surface sooner rather than later, considering the release window. In addition, THQ Nordic revealed Darksiders 4 in August 2025. Embracer is also contributing to the release of the upcoming Tomb Raider games, alongside METRO 2039.
The announcement comes just a few hours after Embracer Group, the owner of Warhorse Studios, revealed that it will split off into two new companies. Fellowship Entertainment, one of the two companies, will be in charge of cultivating new IP under its banner. Alongside Lord of the Rings, the other franchises it will handle include Darksiders, Dead Island, Metro, Tomb Raider, and more.
Lastly, the most recent Kingdom Come game, Kingdom Come Deliverance II, is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Additionally, the Steam page describes Darksiders 4 as follows:
Darksiders 4 is a 3rd person action adventure game featuring combat, traversal and puzzle solving in a lore rich post apocalyptic world.
