Warhorse Studios has announced that it is developing a new “adventure” in the Kingdom Come series and an RPG based on the world of Middle-Earth. The developer will reveal more about both “when the time is right.”
Check out the announcement post confirming Warhorse Studios’ next games below:
The announcement comes just a few hours after Embracer Group, the owner of Warhorse Studios, revealed that it will split off into two new companies. Fellowship Entertainment, one of the two companies, will be in charge of cultivating new IP under its banner. Alongside Lord of the Rings, the other franchises it will handle include Darksiders, Dead Island, Metro, Tomb Raider, and more. The new projects for Warhorse Studios come fresh off of the success of its last game, Kingdom Come Deliverance II. The game of the year nominee has sold over 4 million copies, bringing the series to a total of over 10 million units sold.
Additionally, the game’s Steam page describes it as follows:
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a thrilling Action RPG, set amid the chaos of a civil war in 15th Century Bohemia.
You are Henry of Skalitz – an ordinary man doing extraordinary things – caught in a gripping tale of revenge, betrayal and discovery as he embarks on an epic journey, ‘from a humble blacksmith’s forge to the court of Kings’, as he searches for purpose in this beautiful but brutal medieval world.
From bustling city streets to lush forests, discover this open-world Medieval Europe through an unforgettable adventure filled with action, thrill and wonder.
Lastly, Kingdom Come Deliverance II is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
