Helldivers 2 ‘Devoid of Liberty’ Update Available Now

Arrowhead Studios has released the new Helldivers 2 “Devoid of Liberty” update on PlayStation 5 and PC. It is available alongside the new Warhammer 40,000 Warbond and the game’s addition to the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog. 

The new update takes players to planets within the “Void.” New objectives to conquer–destroy Illuminate spires and gateways, complete data reconnaissance, and infiltrate Illuminate structures with your team will be available to undertake. Each planet is teeming with dangerous mutated life, such as the crawling Wretches and the powerful Crushers. SEAF platoons will also be able to join players as they take part in these new missions. Helldivers 2 launched on February 8, 2024 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, followed by August 26, 2025 for Xbox Series X|S. A film adaptation will release on November 10, 2027, featuring Justin Lin as the director. While Jason Momoa was initially attached to the cast, he will no longer be star in the film for unknown reasons. The Steam page describes the game as follows:
