At CES 2025, Sony Group Corporation announced a new Helldivers film adaptation is currently in the works at PlayStation Productions and Sony Pictures. Further details about the Helldivers film were not announced.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to the Helldivers 2 Limited Edition DualSense Controller, releasing on February 6. Pre-orders went live on December 20 via PlayStation Direct and other local and online retailers.
Helldivers 2 initially came out on February 8, 2024. It released to rave reviews from critics and fans alike, selling 12 million copies within just three months. In such a short period, it has already outpaced God of War: Ragnarok. The cooperative shooter is available now on both PlayStation 5 and PC.
During The Game Awards 2024, the game won two awards for Best Ongoing Game and best multiplayer game. The developers also revealed the Premium Warbond “Urban Legends” for the game that includes new armor, weapons, strategems, and more.
