Cygames has announced that the English version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby is getting the Independent Training feature and 4K/60 FPS support on PC from the Japanese version. With a new update, Umamusume: Pretty Derby gamers will be able to play Concerts at 60 FPS, and another update will add native 4K support at a later date.

Cygames released the following message to fans ahead of the 1.5-year anniversary of the English version of  Umamusume: Pretty Derby:

Dear Trainers,

Thank you for playing Umamusume: Pretty Derby!

Thanks to your warm support and love for all the Umamusume runners, one year has passed since the release of the English version and we’re now getting ready for its in-game 1.5-year anniversary celebrations! Additionally, we were extremely happy to see the passion on display at DoKomi 2026 in Germany, and we’re meeting even more trainers at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles at this very moment. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all trainers around the world who have run alongside us and created countless emotional races until now.

To make your daily training tasks more convenient to complete, and to convey the brilliance of your trainees even more spectacularly, we are pleased to announce the early implementation of these new features currently available in the Japanese version of the game into the English version.

Early Implementation of Two Major Features!

1. Independent Training

To keep your journey with your trainees strong despite everything else you might have going on, we will be implementing the new Independent Training feature far ahead of schedule.

Key Feature: Training will automatically progress in the background in real time, even while the app is closed or while using other features in-game. We recommend making use of this feature during your commute to work or school, or right before going to bed!

2. PC 4K Resolution & 60 FPS Concerts

To allow you to enjoy the Winning Concerts with the best possible quality, we will be implementing the 60 FPS Concerts feature early in the Steam version, to be followed shortly after with 4K resolution support.

Key Feature: By raising the frame rate from the original 30 FPS to 60 FPS, you can enjoy the Umamusume’s dancing and stage performances with incredible smoothness. Furthermore, 4K resolution provides amazing detail to the textures of their outfits and the finest nuances of their facial expressions.

Regarding Future Operations

Starting with these early features, we will continue to work to improve your experience and implement more convenient features moving forward.

During the 1.5-year anniversary period, we’ve crafted a variety of exciting events to express our gratitude, alongside many new stories featuring the Umamusume you love.

Thank you very much for your continued support of Umamusume: Pretty Derby.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is available now for Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. Fans can also catch up with the Umamusume: Cinderella Gray anime, which is streaming on Amazon Prime Video and the It’s Anime YouTube channel in the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Ireland, and Australia.
