Great Ape Games and Annapurna Interactive have announced The Lost Wild, a new survival horror experience about surviving dinosaurs and solving the mystery around you. The Lost Wild is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC in 2027. Check out the “True Fear is Primal” trailer below:

The Steam page describes the game as follows:

The Lost Wild is a cinematic evasion-based survival horror experience unlike any other. Experience the slow burn tension of being hunted by intelligent dinosaurs as you use your wits and the environment to survive.

Play as Saskia as you explore a mysterious island where you’re considered prey by the deadliest creatures of all-time. Keep your head down, stay alert, and evade deadly predators. If all else fails, run or try to buy time using non-lethal tools, resulting in intense cat and mouse style gameplay.

Deadly Dinosaurs

Come face-to-face with dinosaurs that behave like wild animals, not monsters. Whether intelligently hunting as a pack or closing in on you as an apex predator, feel the tension as you carefully observe their behavior to overcome the threat.

Explore

Discover abandoned facilities embedded in an unforgiving wilderness teeming with prehistoric life. Scavenge and acquire useful items to improve your chances of survival, but become subject to ever-increasing dangers the deeper you explore.

Survive

Move carefully and elude predators hunting you down. Create distractions and use your environment to your advantage. Make use of items you’ve discovered to give yourself options in each encounter. Outmaneuver, run, and if all else fails, hide.

A Mystery to Unravel

Play as Saskia who wakes up on a mysterious island teeming with prehistoric creatures. Hunted by dinosaurs, Saskia must find a way to survive while uncovering the mysteries of the island and her place within it.
