The Detective is Already Dead Season 2 PV, Key Visual and Switch Game Adaptation Revealed

Kadokawa has released the first promotional video and key visual for The Detective is Already Dead Season 2, along with a Nintendo Switch game adaptation from Taito to celebrate the anime’s 5th anniversary. The promotional video for The Detective is Already Dead Season 2 also reveals that Saki Miyashita will voice Noches. A new key visual for the Switch game adaptation of The Detective is Already Dead was also released.

The Detective is Already Dead Season 2 premieres in October 2026. According to the anime’s staff, The Detective is Already Dead Season 2 was delayed from its original July 2026 premiere due to “production circumstances.”

The cast of The Detective is Already Dead Season 2 includes:

  • Arata Nagai as Kimihiko Kimizuka
  • Saki Miyashita as Siesta
  • Ayana Taketatsu as Nagisa Natsunagi
  • Kanon Takao as Yui Saikawa
  • Saho Shirasu as Charlotte Arisaka Anderson

Manabu Kurihara will also return to direct the second season at ENGI. Deko Akao is again in charge of series scripts, and Yōsuke Itō is once again handling the character design.

The first season of The Detective is Already Dead premiered in 2021 and consisted of 12 episodes in total. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime series with English subtitles and an English dub.

In November 2019, Nigojū and Umibōzu released The Detective is Already Dead under Kadokawa’s MF Bunko J imprint. The novel achieved massive success, winning the 15th MF Bunko J newcomer award in 2019.
