The PlayStation Store Spring Sale is live alongside what appears to be a more noticeable rollout of a dynamic pricing model for games in North America. With dynamic pricing active, players will see different deals and prices for the same PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games in the PlayStation Store, and we have two examples of this actually happening right now.
Firstly, Insider Gaming reported first-hand examples of Stellar Blade being 70% off during the PlayStation Store Spring sale for one of its reporters, while another reporter for the outlet saw a 43% discount instead. This is a notable price difference between the two games, with one copy costing $20.99 and the other costing $39.89—nearly double.
The second example comes from @videogamedeals on X (formerly Twitter). ASTRO BOT was previously $26.99—55% off. The user noticed the deal change to 34%, which say the game’s on-sale price increase to $39.59.
It’s unclear what exactly determines this variable pricing, but it could be tied to how old the PlayStation Network account is and when the user last logged in. The dynamic pricing model has been reported on and undergone changes since November 2025. PlayStation Store tracker PSprices has a timeline of detecting changes to the storefront, including the implementation of dynamic pricing across more than 100 games.
