Needy Streamer Overload Creator nyalra Reveals Stray Boy Overkill Manga

Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine and Needy Streamer Overload creator nyalra have announced Stray Boy Overkill, a new manga series seemingly connected to the Needy Streamer Overload universe. Launching on April 7 in the Good! Afternoon magazine, the Stray Boy Overkill manga features an original concept by nyalra, original character designs by Ohisashiburi, a story by Sōzō Adamuno, and art by Ōuchi

The manga focuses on Hinako, a social services worker who is a fan of streamer Hōjun Amama Pink-chan, or Amapi for short. After Amapi goes missing, Hinako goes to a house for a social service call, and she finds a boy who looks just like Amapi. Together, they fall deeper into “the abyss of the internet.”

This April,  the TV anime adaptation of WSS playground and Xemono’s Needy Streamer Overload game will also premiere. The anime features the opening theme song “Internet Angel” by Aiobahn +81 and “KAngel” (“Chōten-chan”). nyalra wrote the lyrics for the opening theme song for the anime. 

Masaoki Nakajima directs the anime at Yostar Pictures. nyalra is credited for the original idea, scenario, and supervision. Ohisashiburi is credited for the original character design, and Kenji Saikai, Akari Takei, and Umito Shimizu are the main character designers.
