According to a report from Bloomberg, PlayStation will no longer release major PS5 games on PC via Steam or Epic Games Store. This is likely due to these ports not selling well on the aforementioned platforms.
Online games such as Marvel Tokōn: Fighting Souls and Marathon will still release on multiple platforms, including PC. However, PlayStation has reportedly scrapped plans for a port of Ghost of Yōtei and SAROS for PC. Currently, though, PlayStation has not yet confirmed the validity of these reports, and Bloomberg writer Jason Schreier notes that these plans could change in the future.
Since 2020, PlayStation has released multiple first-party games on PC stores. This includes Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, God of War and God of War Ragnarok, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Returnal, Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, and more. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Kena: Scars of Kosmora, and Horizon Hunters Gathering will release on PC, with Death Stranding 2 in particular launching on March 19.
The next major game from PlayStation Studios, SAROS, will release on April 30, 2026. It is the latest game from Housemarque, best known for games like Resogun, Nex Machina, and Returnal. It is set to release for PlayStation 5 and will be playable 48 hours early for those who preorder the digital deluxe version. The digital deluxe version also includes the Astra Armor, Onryo Armor, and Midgard Armor.
Lastly, later this year, Marvel’s Wolverine will launch for PlayStation 5 on September 15, 2026. It features a new story based on the beloved mutant, set in the same universe as Marvel’s Spider-Man. It will star Liam McIntyre as Wolverine.
