Blizzard has announced that a crossover between Overwatch and Stellar Blade, titled “EVE Protocol,” will launch on November 3. It will release just in time for the Nintendo Switch 2 port of the latter.
Overwatch 2 initially released in 2022 as a free-to-play sequel to the 2016 hero shooter. While the game was supposed to release a full PvE campaign, Blizzard cancelled the narrative component in 2024. Instead, the game has received collaborations with media properties such as Diablo, Cowboy Bebop, Transformers, Gundam Wing, Street Fighter 6, and most recently, NieR: Automata. The game was rebranded to its original Overwatch title on February 10 with the launch of Season 1 “Reign of Talon.”
Similarly to previous collaborations Overwatch will feature cosmetics based on characters within Stellar Blade when it releases. It will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Check out the teaser visual for the Overwatch and Stellar Blade collaboration below:
Stellar Blade Complete Edition is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5. A free demo is available now. As SHIFT UP has previously announced, four Bayonetta costumes will be available for free on all platforms alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 version’s launch. The Switch 2 version will also support a frame generation toggle.
In addition to the 32 GB physical game card release at retail, pre-orders for the digital version of Stellar Blade Complete Edition are available now in the Nintendo eShop. Pre-orders include an early unlock of the Planet Diving Suit (White Edition), Classic Round Glasses, and Ear Armor Earrings for EVE. Stellar Blade Complete Edition includes all content released for the game, including the NieR: Automata DLC and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE DLC. The following bonuses are also part of this edition:
- Stargazer outfit set for EVE, Adam, and Lily
- Half-Rim Glasses, Quadruple Rectangle Earring, Planet Diving Suit (Captain) for EVE
- Stargazer & Fluffy Bear Packs for the Drone
- 2,000 SP EXP; 5,000 Gold
Stellar Blade Complete Edition is already available for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. During Summer Game Fest 2026, SHIFT UP announced Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN, the long-awaited sequel to Stellar Blade. The story of the franchise will continue after the events of the original Stellar Blade with Evie, the game’s new protagonist.
