Limited Run Games has announced MARVEL MaXimum Collection, a new collection of classic arcade, console, and handheld Marvel beat-em-ups. It will release at a later date on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
The collection includes the following games:
- X-Men: The Arcade Game (Arcade)
- Captain America and The Avengers (Arcade, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, NES)
- Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage (Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive)
- Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety (Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive)
- Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge (Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, Game Boy, Game Gear)
- Silver Surfer (NES)
Additionally, the game sports a Archives mode to check out high-resolution scans of the original box art, instruction manuals, and advertisements. It also features a Music Player for all of the iconic soundtracks for the game, rewind and save states, multiple display options, and rollback netcode. Chris Huelsbeck has created a new soundtrack for the game. Further, it is made with Limited Run Games’ Carbon Engine. Check out the trailer for MARVEL MaXimum Collection below:
