Ghost Concert: missing Songs Anime Premieres April 5

A new trailer and key visual were revealed as well.

Kadokawa, Elements Garden, and studio ENGI’s new Ghost Concert: missing Songs anime, the next entry in the “song battle series” following the Symphogear franchise, will premiere on April 5 at 24:30 JST / April 6 at 12:30 JST on Tokyo MX. The anime will subsequently air on BS Asahi, Kansai TV, and other channels in Japan. 

What’s more, a new trailer for Ghost Concert: missing Songs was released to preview the opening theme song “Gokkon REQUIEMER” by Minori Fujidera and the ending theme song “Ibara no Michi” by Minako Kotobuki. New cast members and a new key visual were also revealed.

The newly announced cast members include:

  • Nao Ojika as Kaede Saionji
  • Miyuki Sakurai as Syuri Murayama
  • Yuri An as Rui Ichikawa
  • Satomi Satō as Riku Aoki
  • Satoshi Hino as Setsutei
  • Miyu Irino as Yōtetsu
  • Emiri Suyama as MiucS

The main cast stars Minori Fujidera as Seria Aiba and Rina Hidaka as Cleopatra. 

Noriyasu Agematsu is credited with the original story. UNISON / Project MiucS is credited for the original work. Masato Jinbo directs the anime at ENGI and oversees the series scripts, and Masaaki Uikawa is the character designer. Junpei Fujita, Seima Kondō, and Daisuke Horikawa compose the music at Elements Garden / Heart Company.

The anime takes place in the year 2045 in a world where songs have been banned. Instead of humans playing instruments and creating music, the “MiucS” music app handles its creation. One day, high school student Seria Aiba (voiced by Minori Fujidera) goes out with friends one day and overhears someone singing, which is prohibited. She finds out that the one singing is the “Great Ghost” of Cleopatra (voiced by Rina Hidaka), who appeared from outside Seria’s world.
