The Kickstarter page describes the game as follows:
You are staying at the St Boniface retreat situated in the secluded and idyllic countryside. There are mysteries here. Gruesome mysteries. By pushing your luck and venturing out past your curfew you can discover the disturbing horrors within this house and within its residents.
The gameplay concept is our loose take on a day/ night cycle. By day you will be doing a variety of tasks with residents of your choosing. Then at night you can sneak about and go places and do things you shouldn’t. During the day the uneasy setting and the odd NPCs create intrigue and tension which evolves into terror as the day turns to night.
Daytime
The daytime is all about investigation and relationship-building. Your goals are: gather clues, earn trust and learn the community’s routines. During the day you get to do community work and join “group therapy” sessions. These lead to options along the way to decide who you want to spend more time with and who to be wary of. In this hippy but institutional setting the tone is cut by curious, sometimes explicit and vile interactions. By nature of being at St Boniface the clients may have horrific character flaws.
Night Time
Night time is all about horror. One of the rules of the house is that one mustn’t leave their room at night… so of course you feel obliged. Your goal is to sneak, spy, survive and access places locked in the daytime.
There are things (real or imagined) – long people in shadows, disappearing figures, blue grey darkness, silence and noises, strange lights and whispers.
