Warframe is Coming to Android on February 18, Q1 2026 for Switch 2

The Switch 2 version runs at 60 FPS in both handheld and docked modes.

Digital Extremes has announced the Android version of Warframe will launch on February 18, followed by the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Q1 2026. The Android version of Warframe will feature cross play and cross saves, and players in Canada can get an early look via the soft launch on February 11. 

Accompanying the Android version is a login event through March 4 featuring Cumulus Collection, which includes special weapon and armor cosmetics and resource boosters. Warframe is compatible with Android devices running 64-bit Android on an ARM64 processor, Android OS 12.0 or higher, and a minimum RAM of 4GB.’

This March, Digital Extreme will release “The Shadowgrapher,” a new Warframe update that lets players return to the ruins of the Vesper Relay and discover “the stained story of a lost Archimedean.” The update will also introduce the new Follie Warframe, a new game mode, graphical improvements, and the ability to replay The Old Peace Quest. More details will be revealed in the February Devstream. 

Warframe for Nintendo Switch 2 will follow up before the end of Q1 2026. The Switch 2 version features mouse controls for menu navigation and combat, and the game will run at a locked 60 FPS at 1080p across handheld and docked modes with improved load times, textures, and shader quality. 

PAX East 2026 attendees can look forward to the Warframe Main Stage panel on Saturday, March 28. There will also be a TennoVIP event celebrating Warframe’s 13th anniversary on Friday, March 27, in Boston, MA, with signings, giveaways, and more.

TennoCon, the annual celebration of all things Warframe and Soulframe, will return to Digital Extremes’ hometown of London, Ontario, July 10-11, 2026. The TennoConcert will also return to celebrate more than a decade of Warframe music.

Warframe is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
