The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon has an incredible amount of side content, so Van Arkride and the crew will have their hands full with 4SPG quests. For the player, this means there’s a ton of 4SPG quests to keep track of throughout all three routes. In Trails beyond the Horizon, all three protagonists can accept 4SPG quests from bulletin boards scattered throughout the game’s many locations. Along the way, you’ll also find NPCs in need of help in topic quests, which are essentially the same as 4SPGs but without needing to go to the bulletin board.
Completing 4SPGs and topic quests unlock achievements and nets you rewards and SP, which will level up your overall Evaluation Rank and grants some exclusive rewards. There are 40 4SPGs and 9 topic quests to complete in total.

In the game, you will be warned before the end of a part that proceeding will cause all uncompleted side quests and activities to disappear. Completing all 40 4SPG quests awards the All 4SPG Cases Closed achievement, which awards the Lucifer Arts Driver. Completing all 9 topic quests earns you the All Topic Cases Closed achievement, which awards the Himmel Arts Driver. By following this list, you’ll enter the Finale with all quests completed.
