Nikita Kitagawa Reveals Plans for Anime Adaptation of Saijakuna Boku wa ‘Kabenuke Bug’ de Nariagaru Series

Renowned author Nikita Kitagawa posted a picture of the 11th compiled book volume of the manga adaptation for the Saijakuna Boku wa “Kabenuke Bug” de Nariagaru: Kabe o Surinuketara, Shokai Clear Hōshū o Mugen Kaishū Dekimashita! (I, The Weakest Player, Will Rise to the Top Using a “Wall-Clipping Glitch” – By Clipping Through Walls, I Earned the First-Time Clear Reward Infinite Times!) novel series. The book’s wraparound jacket band lists a television anime for the Saijakuna Boku wa “Kabenuke Bug” de Nariagaru: Kabe o Surinuketara, Shokai Clear Hōshū o Mugen Kaishū Dekimashita! series.

Nikita Kitagawa first released the web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in February 2021. In June 2022, light novels with illustrations by Meto Sasame were launched. The second volume shipped in May 2024.

Yui Hata began the manga adaptation in Kodansha’s Shōnen Magazine R in July 2022, continuing until the magazine ended publication in January 2023. The manga moved to Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app that same month.

The series follows Henri Cleats, an adventurer who only has a single skill: Evasion. Wanting to take care of his sickly younger sister Colette, he joins a party. However, due to weak attack power and lack of skills, he is expelled from this party.

However, it turns out that his evasion skill comes with a bonus: he is able to pass through walls and reach the end of dungeons without defeating the boss. Thus, he is able to claim a dungeon’s First Clear bonus more than once. With his newfound knowledge, Henri sets out to clear as many dungeons as he can while also leveling up his power.
