Kogado Studio has announced that new short visual novel Sugar Lies will release in late 2026 for PC via Steam, followed by Nintendo Switch in spring 2027. Sugar Lies will support English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese language options with Japanese voice-overs, and the Nintendo Switch version will be sold physically in Japan. A new trailer was also released at Tokyo Game Show 2026.

Story
“It makes me sick. This world is full of nothing but lies.”
Akito Nagatsuki is a young man who detests lies.
Whenever he sees someone lying or acting, he feels physically repulsed and nauseous.
But then, he meets Yui Sakuramiya, a girl more skilled than anyone at playing the role of her ideal self.
The moment their eyes met, Akito understood immediately:
