CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 has passed 35 million copies sold as of November 26, 2025. Additionally, a brief new update has been shared on the status of the game’s sequel

According to the analysis of the latest statistic, the 35 million copies includes sales of the original version of the game and the Ultimate Edition. This includes all copies sold on Nintendo Switch 2, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Further, CDPR shared a new overview of the amount of people working on the Cyberpunk sequel. As of July 31, the game had 116 people working on it. However, as of October 31, 135 people are working on the game. As such, it is likely that production will continue to ramp up in the cominy years.

Recently, a CD Projekt Red H1 2025 earnings presentation revealed that 75.4% of all Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition copies sold for Nintendo Switch 2 were physical copies. CD Projekt Red’s first Nintendo Switch 2 version is proving to be very successful for both the company and physical games, as only 24.6% opted for the digital version of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition.

Physical copies of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 include the full game data on a 64 GB cart. This means that players simply need to insert the game into a Switch 2 to start it. That said, the developers still encourage players to download updates for the best possible and up-to-date experience.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition utilizes DLSS upscaling technology in four modes in handheld and docked modes, each with performance and quality variants. CDPR still has not disclosed the exact DLSS version, however. Check out our review of the Nintendo Switch 2 port of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition here
