Square Enix has released the version 1.0.1.0 update for Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake with some additional English voice-overs to event scenes, more “Traveler’s Tips,” the Anti-Freeze Earrings and Asbestos Earrings accessories (Dragon Quest I), and more adjustments.
Patch notes for Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake update 1.0.1.0 may be read below, via Square Enix’s official support website:
- English voices have been added to some event scenes.
- More Traveler’s Tips (i.e. tutorials) have been added.
- The Anti-Freeze Earrings and Asbestos Earrings have been added to the obtainable accessories in Dragon Quest I.
- Some adjustments have been made to the “Tactics” AI and enemy behavior AI.
- Miscellaneous changes, minor bug fixes and stat adjustments, and performance optimization.
What’s more, Square Enix teamed up with Amazon to release new Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake apparel, including t-shorts, long sleeves, hoodies, and crew neck sweatshirts.
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is featured on the November 13 issue of Weekly Famitsu. The new Famitsu issue includes an interview with Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii and Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake producer Masaaki Hayasaka, along with a player survey.
Lastly, Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is available now for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The remake offers new content in both Dragon Quest I and II, including new scenarios, dungeons, enemies, and the seabed area, where the city of Almeha and other intriguing findings await.
