Square Enix, Kepler Interactive and Sandfall Interactive have revealed collaborative artwork for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 during a collaboration event in Paris. The artwork features designs of Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 art director Nicholas Maxson-Francombe, along with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 character designs by Final Fantasy VII Remake series creative director Tetsuya Nomura.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is well past 5 million copies sold across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. To celebrate the milestone, a new update is currently in the works with several new additions and features as a “Thank You” to fans who support.
The Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 versions of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade release on January 22, 2026, and a demo is planned for release before the end of 2025. Featuring the base game and the Episode INTERmission DLC featuring Yuffie Kisaragi, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will run at 30 FPS with “smooth performance and crisp visuals.” What’s more, the game includes a “Streamlined Progression” feature, giving players access to unlimited MP and HP, unlimited limit and ATB gauge during battles, 9,999 damage, easier weapon ability acquisition, and more.
