A free Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade demo for Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S is planned to release by the end of 2025, according to Remake series director Naoki Hamaguchi in a recent Inverse interview. Details about the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Switch 2 and Xbox demo were not revealed just yet.
“I wanted to mention that at the end of the year, a demo is coming out for Switch 2 and Xbox,” director Hamaguchi said. “So players who might still be on the fence or unsure about playing, it’d be great for them to experience [the demo] and feel the full specs of these new consoles.”
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is coming to Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 on January 22, 2026. Both Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth are available now for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Remake Part 3 are also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S as part of Square Enix’s multiplatform strategy.
Square Enix said the following in a press release, “As part of Square Enix’s promise for a multi-platform strategy and aim to deliver their games to more players worldwide, the entire Final Fantasy VII remake series will eventually be coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, in addition to PlayStation 5 and PC. The third part of the trilogy is currently being diligently produced as the culmination of the series.”
