Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will be featured on the November 13 issue of Weekly Famitsu, which releases alongside the game on October 30. The new Famitsu issue includes an interview with Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii and Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake producer Masaaki Hayasaka, along with a player survey.
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake launches October 30 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The remake offers new content in both Dragon Quest I and II, including new scenarios, dungeons, enemies, and the seabed area, where the city of Almeha and other intriguing findings await.
Pre-orders for Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake are available now for $59.99 with the Trouble-Free Travel Kit as an additional bonus. Moreover, a Collector’s Edition will be available in the Square Enix Store, and the game will be a game-key card title in Japan. As previously confirmed, players with Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake save data will receive the Marvelous Makeover Kit featuring a dog suit in Dragon Quest I and a cat suit in Dragon Quest II.
Square Enix recently announced Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, a remake of Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. Dragon Quest VII Reimagined will launch on February 5, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. Pre-orders are available now in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch 2.
