Koei Tecmo, PlatinumGames, and Team NINJA released a new trailer for Ninja Gaiden 4, the next major entry in the long-running Ninja Gaiden series, going over the game’s difficulty design. According to Team NINJA, Ninja Gaiden 4 stays true to its “punishing roots” with difficulty while introducing a new hero mode, a training mode, and adjustable assists for newcomers.
Ninja Gaiden 4 launches on October 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows and Steam. The upcoming action game features two playable characters, the new protagonist Yakumo from the Raven clan and the returning series lead, Ryu Hayabusa. Moreover, fans can catch up with Ninja Gaiden 2, a full remake in Unreal Engine 5 that honors the original sequel. Momiji, Ayane, and Rachel are still playable, and the game includes a new beginner-friendly “Hero Play Style.” The Ninja Gaiden 2: Black remake is available now for $49.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Windows and Steam. It is also available with Xbox Game Pass.
Lastly, fans can dive into The Game Kitchen’s Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound offers a new 2D experience that promises to blend the gameplay of the classic entries with the depth and intense action from the 3D games.
