Konami has released the version 1.07 update for Silent Hill 2 with key performance improvements on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro. Specifically, Silent Hill 2 update 1.07 improves performance in Performance Mode and Quality Mode while addressing artifacts and shadow flickering.

Silent Hill 2 Update 1.07 Patch Notes
On 6th August 2026, we carried out an update to make some adjustments to the game for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro users. We are happy to announce a new update that improves performance on both Performance Mode and Quality Mode.
Additionally, the patch addresses shadow flickering and reduces certain visual artifacts that may occur while moving. The update also includes various improvements to overall visual quality and additional bug fixes.
Please check that the version number on the bottom right of the game top screen is v.1.0.7.

PARCO GAMES is currently hosting EXHIBITION OF SILENT HILL 2 at Ikebukuro PARCO in Tokyo, Japan through August 17, and the merchandise of the Silent Hill 2 event is available globally. Admission to EXHIBITION OF SILENT HILL 2 costs ¥1,500. Select merchandise from the exhibition will be available on PARCO’s official e-commerce site, ONLINE PARCO.
Konami and Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam). Final Weapon reviewed Silent Hill 2 and gave it a 4.5 out of 5 score, noting the game is “a genuine masterpiece… Bloober Team did an exceptional job with the resurrected title’s story, voice acting, gameplay, and visuals. Additionally, the attention to detail on display throughout the entire experience makes it a must-play for both returning fans as well as those who are playing Silent Hill 2 for the first time.”
