Techland has moved up the release date of Dying Light: The Beast to September 18 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Originally, Dying Light: The Beast was planned to release on September 19 following its delay from August 22.
“Seeing the excitement from our community for the return of Kyle Crane in Dying Light: The Beast, and knowing the game is ready, we wanted to do something special for our players,” said Dying Light franchise director Tymon Smektała in a press release. “We pushed ourselves to make the impossible possible, and that’s why we’re releasing the game a little earlier. I can’t wait to see players’ reactions when they finally step into the world of The Beast.”
Previously, Techland released the new “Blood & Guts” trailer to showcase Dying Light: The Beast‘s increased gore and brutality effects. The “Blood & Guts” trailer shows a non-stop montage that highlights the gore improvements and new effects that were specifically made for Dying Light: The Beast, including decapitations, deep slashes and stabs, and gory finishers. In addition, Techland released the “Behind the Beast: The Art of Blood” video in order to go behind the scenes.
