DMM Games and Too Kyo Games released the “Final” trailer for multi-genre adventure game Shuten Order. The trailer gives players a literal final preview of Shuten Order before the game launches on September 5 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
A Shuten Order Digital Deluxe Edition will be available for $64.99 featuring a visual art book and mini soundtrack, and pre-orders are available now in the Nintendo eShop. Spike Chunsoft opened pre-orders for Shuten Order Ministry Edition ($59.99), a physical release for Steam that’s exclusive to the Spike Chunsoft Store in the US. The Shuten Order Ministry Edition includes a Steam voucher for the game, a sticker sheet, and a clear file.
Purchases of multi-genre adventure game Shuten Order on Steam include “Before the Murders – case: Manji Fushicho” original digital novel, which is a prequel written by Danganronpa series creator Kazutaka Kodaka. This digital novel is also included with pre-orders of the Nintendo Switch version of Shuten Order. To receive the digital novel on Steam, players must purchase any edition of the game between September 5 and September 19 at 9:59 a.m. PDT / 12:59 p.m. EDT.
Here’s a synopsis of the new novel:
Set five years before the events of the main game, this novel tells the story of Manji Fushicho, before she became Minister of Security. She is captured by heretics and subjected to a brutal “awakening test”. At the end of this harsh trial, she makes a decision. This is the origin of the woman who would eventually become feared as the “Queen of Heretic Hunting”.
The staff of Shuten Order includes story writers Kazutaka Kodaka, Takumi Nakazawa, and Takekuni Kitayama. simadoiru is the illustrator, and The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy composer Masafumi Takada returns to compose the soundtrack.
