Jyamma Games has announced La Divina Commedia, a new action RPG based on Dante Aligheri’s The Divine Comedy. Jyamma Games has previously worked on Enotria: The Last Song.
La Divina Commedia will feature unique weapon classes, evolving labyrinths filled with loot, plus a story and world that is impacted by the choices you make. Additionally, there’s a unique high-risk, high-reward mechanic, which is said to fuel your power through aggressive, skillful play. The website describes the game’s lore as follows:
Dante’s venerable poem The Divine Comedy has supplanted the old faith, bringing about a golden age of righteousness among humanity. Yet this spiritual renaissance is shattered when the promises of The Divine Comedy are suddenly subverted by mysterious powers. Humanity degenerates into something sinister and the world is thrust into chaos.
Breach the depths of Hell and battle against demonic forces as a warrior-poet who has been lured into and trapped within the underworld. As you descend the infernal circles, seeking an escape, you confront ever-stronger foes while struggling to atone for your sinful past.
Defeat the armies of darkness and face the ultimate choice, one that will decide whether or not The Divine Comedy is restored to its former glory.
Motion Captured Combat
The technical department will be supported by a sophisticated motion capture system, developed in collaboration with an internationally renowned studio already responsible for prestigious productions in the AAA action scene.
