The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Comic Market (Comiket) announced that the two-day Comiket 106 event drew in 250,000 attendees across Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17, at the Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo, Japan. Comiket 106 drew in 120,000 people on the first day and 130,000 people on its second day.
Comiket 106 had nearly 22,700 exhibiting spaces across its duration, which is a decrease from the near 29,000 spaces that were available during Comiket 105, which was held from December 29 to 30, 2024. This is due to ongoing renovations at Tokyo Big Sight’s East Halls 1-3. This is likely a factor in Comiket 106 drawing in 50,000 less people compared to Comiket 105’s 300,000 attendees.
Moreover, the Comic Market committee announced Comiket 107 will take place from December 30 to 31, 2025. The event will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Comic Market, which was first held on December 21, 1975. Tokyo Big Sight’s East Halls 1-3 will not be open for exhibiting spaces once more.
One of the games that was featured at Comiket 106 was Bilibili Games and Epid GAMES’ collectible card RPG Trickcal: Chibi Go (formerly Trickcal Re:VIVE). During Comiket 106, a large-scale Trickcal: Chibi Go advertisement was highlight some of the game’s beloved Apostles, including Kommy, Erpin, Butter, and more. A giant themed pillar offered fans a great photo op spot, and attendees will also received free fans for visiting. Lastly, Trickcal: Chibi Go pre-registration is open on Android via Google Play Store and iOS via App Store.
