Aniplex released a new “Battle” trailer for the Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Infinity Castle – Akaza Returns film, highlighting scenes from Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka’s fight against Akaza.
This past July, Aniplex announced Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Infinity Castle – Akaza Returns generated 12,872,176,700 yen, or roughly $87.10 million, in its first 10 days. 9,104,483 million tickets were sold up to that point. The film set a new record in Japan as the fastest film to reach 10 billion yen in the first eight days of its release.
The first film in the Infinity Castle trilogy premiered on July 18 in Japan. The movie is playing on 443 screens through Japan, setting a new record for the franchise. The film heads to US and Canada on September 12, and tickets will be available starting August 15.
Sotozaki returns as director of the film. In addition, Akira Matsushima is the anime film’s character designer and chief animation director at studio ufotable. Lastly, Aimer performs the theme song “Taiyō ga Noboranai Sekai (A World Where the Sun Never Rises),” while LiSA performs the song “Zankoku no Yoru ni Kagayake (Shine in the Cruel Night).”
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 launched on August 5 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam for $59.99. Final Weapon reviewed Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 and gave it a 3.5 out of 5, noting it’s a great game that recaps the events leading to the Infinity Castle Arc.
