SEGA released a new update for Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis to begin the game’s collaboration with Team Shanghai Alice’s iconic Touhou Project franchise. Starting today, August 9, players can receive login bonuses and cosmetic items from AC Scratch Ticket: Touhou Project Style.
In Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis, the AC Scratch Ticket: Touhou Project Style includes outfits, hairstyles, and weapon camos to transform players into Reimu Hakurei, Marisa Kirisame, or Flandre Scarlet. Players can also get Build Parts, Yukkuri Reimu and Yukkuri Marisa Mag Forms, and new Music Discs of popular arrangement tracks from SEGA’s rhythm games: Night of Knights, Cirno’s Perfect Math Class, and Last Berutal Sister Flandre S. The Scratch Count Bonus features Music Disc: Bad Apple!! feat.nomico!
In September, a new Combat Sector will be added to the Alter Realm in a new Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis update. In October, the class level cap will be raised to 110 and the EX Style system will be introduced. EX Style is a new system that expands player actions, acting like a third class. What’s more, December 2025 and January 2026 will mark the return of the Super Genesis Festival, and a collaboration with a SEGA game will be held. A new Nameless City will be introduced in February 2026.
Lastly, Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store, Windows, and Steam. The PSO2NGS Web Store is live with deals on in-game items, including AC bundles.
