Neon has acquired the North American rights for the live-action film adaptation of KOTAKE CREATE’s The Exit 8. The live-action film will open first on August 29 in Japan, followed by the North American premiere of The Exit 8 in early 2026, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
TOHO is producing the new The Exit 8 live-action film. Writer and director Genki Kawamura is leading the production. Kazunari Ninomiya is the star of The Exit 8.
The Exit 8 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. The new Android and iOS versions launched on March 28 for $3.99.
