The Pokémon Company announced the “Wisdom of Sea and Sky” expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket will launch on July 30. A new update for the app’s trade feature will launch as well.
In Pokémon TCG Pocket Wisdom of Sea and Sky, players can encounter beloved Pokémon native to the Johto region, as seen in the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games. These Pokémon include Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile, as well as the Legendary Pokémon Lugia and Ho-Oh. In addition, Pokémon with attacks that don’t require Energy will also debut, giving players more deck building and battling options.
Moreover, a new trade feature update will launch on July 29 at 11:00 p.m. PDT. The update will introduce a wishlist feature, allowing Pokémon TCG Pocket players to share which cards they would like to trade for with others. Players can navigate their wishlists from the My Cards screen, where they’ll be able to add up to 20 cards and highlight three cards from their wishlist to display on their profiles.
Trade tokens will be discontinued, and players will no longer need to exchange cards to obtain trade tokens. However, shinedust will be required to trade cards of ♦♦♦, ♦♦♦♦ and ★ rarities. Players can acquire shinedust by completing in-game missions and achievements or by obtaining duplicate cards. Players can exchange trade tokens they own for pack hourglasses and shinedust in the in-game shop. Additionally, players will be unable to trade cards in their possession for trade tokens beginning July 29, at 6:00 p.m. PDT. The trade feature will be unavailable from July 24 at 11:00 p.m. PDT to July 29 at 10:59 p.m. PDT.
