Ahead of Nintendo Switch 2 launch day, snakebyte announced a new range of accessories that really caught my eye. Ranging from controllers to cases and chargers, snakebyte’s Nintendo Switch 2 accessories lineup seemingly covers all bases, and thanks to snakebyte, Final Weapon had the opportunity to check out what some of their collection has to offer.
My favorite accessories among what I tested out were the stylish snakebyte Travel Case 2, the trusty and compact Power Charge S2, and the all-encompassing System Organiser Case 2. The running theme of the snakebyte collection is affordability, which is something I greatly appreciate when shopping for accessories. If I want something to complement my Switch 2, it shouldn’t be more than some of the games I buy, and fortunately, it appears the snakebyte offers solutions here that don’t skimp out on quality where it matters.
Snakebyte Travel Case S2 is Stylish and Affordable
For $20.00, the Travel Case S2 is among one of my most confident recommendations from snakebyte’s Nintendo Switch 2 accessories lineup. Not only is the Travel Case S2 sleek and stylish with its blue colorway, but the Switch 2 console with its Joy-Cons fit in comfortably with a lot of room to spare for other accessories and games. Since the case is made from ballistic nylon and PU leather, it’s impact resistant and water repellent, making it a durable and sturdy case.
The best word to describe the Travel Case S2 is space-optimized. When the Switch 2 is inside the case, the case’s game sleeve rests on the screen, protecting it while the case is shut. There’s room for up to 10 Switch and Switch 2 game carts on the sleeve as well, so there’s plenty of games that can be carried around. There’s also a compartment for additional accessories like ear-buds, spare joy-cons, charging bricks, and USB-C cables.
The Starter Kit S2 is the Cheap All-in-One Solution
Similarly to the Travel Case S2, the Starter Kit S2 costs $20.00, but it offers a bit more for new Switch 2 owners. Although the stylish blue colorway isn’t present, you still get a premium nylon carry case, and on the inside, gamers get a tempered glass screen protector, ear buds, silicon grips and a cleaning cloth. It’s also available in black and grey, so it can fit in with other accessories and modern desk setups, if you value aesthetic uniformity.
The insides of the Starter Kit S2 case and basically identical to those of the Travel Case S2, so you can expect the exact same space, compartments, and features. Starter Kit S2 is certainly cost-effective considering what you get with the case. The ear buds are serviceable, and voices and audio sound perfectly balanced when using them for GameChat. It should be noted that the ear buds don’t have a mic, however, as the Switch 2 already has an internal mic.
The tempered glass screen protector is one of the clear highlights of the Starter Kit S2, as it offers extra protection for the Switch 2’s LCD screen. Application of the protector is rather straightforward and, for lack of a better phrase, old-fashioned, since you will need to carefully apply it and ensure there’s no air bubbles.
My least favorite accessories are the silicon grips and thumbstick caps, as the silicon grips aren’t a snug fit on the Joy-Con 2 controllers. The thumbstick caps add some extra height, but for me personally, I don’t think it’s needed. Overall, the Starter Kit S2 does offer really great value, especially with the case, ear buds, and screen protector.
Power Charge S2 is Very Versatile and Compact
As shown in the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, players can charge their consoles with a compatible charger and USB-C cable in tabletop mode, thanks to the top USB-C. The included cable and power brick with the Nintendo Switch 2 are great, but if you still want to use them with your dock, opting in for Power Charge S2 ($20.00) and Fast Charging Cable S2 ($10.00) is one solid option that cannot be ignored.
The Power Charge S2 is a small but versatile and capable USB-C AC adapter with USB power delivery 3.0 (PD 3.0) and advanced GaN technology. These features ensure fast, efficient, and safe charging for your Switch 2, and thanks to the included plug adapters, the Power Charge S2 works in the US, EU, UK, and AUS regions. This also means that traveling to these countries with your Switch 2 is much more convenient, as the plug adapters can be easily applied and taken off when you need them.
Moreover, the Fast Charging Cable S2 ensures your Switch 2 and other USB-C devices, such as the Switch 2 Pro Controller, are charged safely and efficiently. The 100W fast charging cable has PD-enabled safety, durable nylon branding, and a two-meter length to ensure you can charge the Switch 2 and game without worries. It’s just as seamless to use as it sounds, and considering both items would be quite inexpensive together, I definitely recommend it.
Snakebyte System Organiser Case S2 is the Ultimate Storage Option for Switch 2
The System Organiser Case S2 ($30.00, available in black and grey) is the essential storage unit for Nintendo Switch 2, as it can carry quite a lot of gear alongside the console itself. The case comes with a carrying case similar to the one included with the Starter Kit S2, and its internals are nearly identical to it as well. The carrying case fits snuggly on the top of the System Organiser Case S2 with a strap that secures it in place.
Taking off the carrying case and unzipping the System Organiser Case S2 opens up its main compartments, which are large enough to carry multiple accessories at once. In fact, there so much room that I could fit boxed versions of the Twin Charge S2, Fast Charging Cable S2, and Power Charger S2 inside the System Organiser Case S2 with room to spare. A carrying strap can also be found inside, allowing you to comfortably carry it like a bag.
The durable water repellent nylon and scratch-resistant exterior gives off a sense of extra security, which is exactly what I want for what is essentially a luggage bag for Switch 2 and its accessories. It’s really great, but I don’t see myself really using it for much just yet. At the very least, it will be a nice bag to store some of my accessories.
Twin Charge S2 Brings a Convenient Charging Solution
A charging station can be quite useful if you enjoy using the Joy-Con 2 controllers frequently, and the Twin Charge S2 station is probably the most affordable and convenient option at $20.00. With the included USB-C cable, you can charge the Joy-Con 2 to full charge safely and securely. The compact form factor of the Twin Charge S2 means it can fit inside of luggage, and even the System Organiser Case S2, quite easily. There are dual charge level LEDs that will switch from red to green once the Joy-Con 2 is charged.
