Netflix has released a new official trailer for the upcoming Devil May Cry animated series. The trailer features Papa Roach’s “Last Resort” as a backing track.
The trailer highlights some of the series’ action and story. It shows glimpses at Dante, a selection of horrifying demons, a character who looks eerily similar to Lady, and even Dante’s twin brother and rival, Vergil. It appears that the series will mix elements from the main game franchise, while also introducing brand-new story beats unlike anything the Devil May Cry games have done before.
While the rest of the cast for the anime is unknown, Vergil’s voice bears a striking resemblance to Robbie Daymond. Daymond has voiced numerous beloved characters such as Akechi from Persona 5. Johnny Yong Bosch, who previously voiced Nero in Devil May Cry 4 and 5, will play the role of Dante.

Limp Bizkit’s “Rollin’” will serve as the opening theme song. Studio Mir and Adi Shankar will produce the eight-episode series, which highlights Dante, Vergil, and Lady.
Capcom released the first Devil May Cry game in 2001 for the PlayStation 2. The game started as a prototype version of Resident Evil 4 before evolving into its own franchise. To date, Capcom has released five entries in the series. Adi Shankar first teased the anime in 2018, around the same time Devil May Cry 5 launched.
The entire Devil May Cry series is available on most modern consoles. This includes Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, Devil May Cry 3, Devil May Cry 4, and the most recent entry, Devil May Cry 5. Lastly, Devil May Cry 5 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
